HEAVY SNOW WILL COMBINE WITH STRONG WINDS TO CREATE NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW ON SATURDAY. THIS IS A WARNING THAT DANGEROUS WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THESE REGIONS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED STATEMENTS.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP OFF THE U.S. EASTERN SEABOARD AND SLOWLY TRACK NORTHEASTWARD TO LIE JUST SOUTH OF NEWFOUNDLAND BY SATURDAY EVENING. SNOW AT TIMES HEAVY IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER THE AVALON AND BURIN PENINSULAS SATURDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 15 TO 20 CENTIMETERS CAN BE EXPECTED FOR SATURDAY. FRESH SNOW WILL COMBINE WITH STRONG WINDS TO CREATE NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW. DUE TO SOME UNCERTAINTY IN THE SYSTEM'S TRACK, THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WARNINGS MAY BE EXTENDED TO ADJACENT REGIONS UNDER THE WINTER STORM WATCH.
